Microsoft have announced that Halo 3 will start shipping on Tuesday the 25th of September, the European release will be Wesnesday the 26th of September. So I've released a Vista sidebar gadget for Halo 3. It's pretty simple, it countdowns to the release date. There's two versions for each region North America and Europe (126KB), download from Microsoft's gadget gallery North America and Europe.
John McDonnell has 27 nominations so far, and requires another 18. I see over at People's Commissar of Enlightenment there's a list of 18 potential MPs who have yet to nominate. Hopefully we'll reach the 45 by Thursday.

News has just come through a few minutes ago that Michael Meacher will stand down and recommend support for John McDonnell in the Labour leadership election. The next hurdle is getting on the ballot paper, the deadline for this is Thursday. So if you haven't already written to your Labour MP asking them to nominate John McDonnell, now is the time.
In an ongoing discussion I've had with Mr Anthony, I used Venezuela as concrete examples of nationalisation of international companies, and reducing the working week without impacting production or pay. 5. I wonder about your Venezuela example. It is true they nationalized the petrolium industry. But Citgo functions worldwide. And even though it makes up 80% of the governments revenue has it really changed the country. I was actually referring to Venezuela taking majority ownership of Chevron, Exxon Mobil and BP property within Venezuela....
I thought I'd tackle some comments left on a previous blog post so I can get more into detail. This left from Anthony: My point is simple. How could 1 person make such outragous promises. Say in theory you make valid points. That doesnt mean you would be able to enact anything. Obviously one would need a majority within parliament and an organised working people ready to defend themselves from any counter attack....
I am disappointed that they have not yet announced who should stand to represent the left within the Labour Party. John McDonnell in my opinion clearly has the upper hand and has worked tireless over the past year to get support. Micheal Meacher should give his full support to McDonnell on this issue, the fact this is still going on is disgraceful, come on Micheal. John McDonnell touches on privatisation, and public money filling the pockets of the private sector....
No real surprise. He'll meet the Queen on June the 27th to hand over his resignation as Prime Minister and will stay on as Labour leader until the Labour Party elects a successor. For the fools that voted for the Tories at the recent elections, just think how worse off we'd be if the Tories were in power the last 10 years. The public services would be gone; the NHS would have been dismantled instead of having record levels of investment....
I came across a recent blog entry by Nik Cubrilovic covering his recent switch from Mac OS to Windows Vista. I have been running Vista for a little less than 24 hours and I can’t believe I didn’t switch back sooner, the main difference is that the interface is much much smoother and neater and despite popular belief performance is actually fantastic. I was used to waiting on Mac OS X while my standards apps would open up - Quicksilver, Firefox, Skype, etc....
The update for the Xbox 360 that we covered in Gamercast Episode 66 is due to arrive this week, some of the improvements include low-power download mode, and Windows Live Messenger support. IGN however totally got the wrong end of the stick, it looks like while writing up this article somebody forget to check the date, this article is based upon a page on Xbox.com which is talking about last year's update which was released on the 6th of June, unfortunately some people didn't check IGN's article out for accuracy and are now screaming bloody murder because of the update being delayed....
